The press release for the movie contains a lot of details about the merchandising and tone of the movie (taking it back to its routes etc.) but the most interesting line comes in the second paragraph which reads that Godzilla contains "spectacular creatures". Note the plural on "creatures".
Of course, we are speculating widely but it was assumed that the Gareth Edwards directed movie would feature the King of the Monsters riding solo (just like 1954's Gojira and 1984's Godzilla a.k.a. Godzilla 1985). Could we be seeing Godzilla take on one of his famous foes?

Should this be fact, which of Godzilla's enemies would you like to see him duke it out with on American soil? King Ghidorah? Mothra? Jet Jaguar??
Godzilla is set for release next year to conincide with the monster's 60th anniversary and features Aaron Talyor-Johnson (Kick-Ass 2), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene) and Ken Wantanbe (Inception).
