In shock news Hans Zimmer has confirmed that he is performing score duties on Christopher Nolan's next film, Interstellar. Not only that, but he has already started! In an interview with Collider, he simply had this to say:
“I wrote something…and I’m writing that. So, yes, we have started.”
After their work together on The Dark Knight Trilogy and Inception, hopes will be high that they create another fine piece of work together.
Interstellar's story involves time travel and alternate dimensions and sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole. The script is based on scientific theories developed by Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech.
Starring Matthew McConaughey (Mud), Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables), Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) and Michael Caine (The Dark Knight Rises), Interstellar is due for release on November 7th 2014.
