More than twenty years after he last donned the cape and cowl as Batman, Michael Keaton is returning to the superhero genre - kind of, anyway - in director Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu’s (21 Grams, Biutiful) comedy Birdman, which centres on an aging actor once famous for portraying an iconic crime-fighter (talk about going method) as he attempts to get his career back on track by launching a Broadway play. Anyway, a new batch of set photos have arrived online showing Keaton being stalked by the eponymous hero, as well as running around Times Square in his Y-Fronts; check them out, courtesy of The Daily Mail:
Michael Keaton is joined in the cast of Birdman by fellow superhero movie veterans Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and Edward Norton (The Incredible Hulk), in addition to the likes of Andrea Riseborough (Oblivion), Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover Part III), Naomi Watts (21 Grams) and Amy Ryan (Gone Baby Gone). The film is expected to arrive some time next year.
