Over the past six months or so we've heard plenty of speculation about possible new additions to the line-up of action icons for The Expendables 3, most of which has came directly from Sylvester Stallone's Twitter account.
On several occasions, Sly has seemingly jumped the gun with his casting announcements, particularly concerning martial arts legend Jackie Chan and former Blade star Wesley Snipes, both of whom are yet to officially sign on to the film. However, Lionsgate CEO Jon Felheimer has now confirmed that the studio is in "advanced negotiations" with both Chan and Snipes, in addition to Nicolas Cage (who was part of producer Avi Lerner's initial wish-list alongside Snipes, Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford) and Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich.
Of course it remains to be seen whether any of these will actually sign on the dotted line, or if it's just another case of name dropping in an effort to drum up interest for the Patrick Hughes-directed threequel.
