The Amazing Spider-Man 2 set photos featuring a pre-CG Rhino

If you were worried that The Amazing Spider-Man 2's big showdown between Spidey (Andrew Garfield) and the Rhino (Paul Giamatti) was going to culminate with the Russian gangster standing with his pants around his ankles, then breathe easy.

A new batch of spy photos have emerged from the NYC set of the Marc Webb-directed sequel featuring Garfield, Giamatti and young co-star Jorge Vegas, which are from a scene described by an onlooker as involving "the Rhino of a rampage and Spidey jumping onto an NYPD squad car with a bullhorn and taunting the Rhino by calling him a mechanized hippopotamus" and as you can see from the images, they're going CGI for the suited up Rhino...









"In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set for release on April 18th, 2014 in the UK and May 2nd, 2014 in North America, with The Amazing Spider-Man stars Emma Stone and Sally Field returning to the cast alongside the likes of Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained), Shailene Woodley (The Descendants), Dane DeHaan (Chronicle), Chris Cooper (American Beauty), Felicity Jones (Like Crazy) and Colm Feore (Thor).
