If last week's fourth trailer wasn't enough to whet your appetite for Man of Steel, Warner Bros. has released two new TV spots for the Zack Snyder-directed reboot which offer up even more new footage from what's shaping up to be one of - if not the - most anticipated films of the summer.
Considering the sheer amount of trailers, featurettes and TV spots we've seen over the past couple of months from Man of Steel, it's amazing there's anything left, but as the latest trailer and this new preview shows, it seems there's still plenty that Snyder and company have been holding back.
"In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha and Jonathan Kent, Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world's beacon of hope -- Superman."
Man of Steel arrives on June 14th, with a cast that includes Henry Cavill (Immortals) as Clark Kent / Superman, Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire) as General Zod, Amy Adams (The Fighter) as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner (Hatfields & McCoys) as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane (Secretariat) as Martha Kent, Antje Traue (Pandorum) as Faora, Laurence Fishburne (Contagion) as Perry White and Ayelet Zurer (Angels & Demons) as Lara Lor-Van.
