The U.S. TV networks have been pretty busy this past week previewing the new additions to their schedules, and now CBS has given us an extended look at its upcoming Stephen King adaptation Under the Dome, a 13-part limited series from Brian K. Vaughan (The Private Eye) which centres on the residents of a small town in Maine which finds itself mysteriously cut off from the rest of the world.
Based upon King's 2009 novel of the same name Under the Dome is produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television, with Niels Arden Oplev (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) handling directing duties on the pilot. The cast includes Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), Mike Vogel (The Help), Natalie Martinez (Death Race), Rachelle Lafevre (Twilight), Jolene Purdy (Donnie Darko), Nicholas Strong (Nashville), Aisha Hinds (True Blood), Britt Robertson (The Secret Circle), Colin Ford (Jake and the Never Land Pirates) and newcomer Alex Koch.
Under the Dome is set to premiere in the States on June 24th.
