Screenwriters and producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are certainly busy these days; the duo currently have Star Trek Into Darkness in cinemas, with Now You See Me, Ender's Game, All You Need Is Kill and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 all incoming over the next twelve months. However, they're also set to extend their small screen output this fall with the new TV series Sleepy Hollow, and Fox Television has now given us our first look at the upcoming adventure thriller, which you can check out below.
Co-created and executive produced by Kurtzman and Orci, Sleepy Hollow is described as a "modern-day retelling" of Washington Irving's classic 1820 short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The series stars Tom Mision (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen) as Ichabod Crane, who wakes up from the throes of death 250 years in the future to find the world on the brink of destruction and that he is humanity’s last hope, forcing him to team up with a contemporary police officer (Nicole Beharie; Shame) to unravel a mystery that dates back to the founding fathers.
Sleepy Hollow will premiere on Fox in the Fall.
