Simon Pegg (The World's End, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People) revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that a small joke he played on his Star Trek Into Darkness co-star Chris Pine (This Means War) eventually turned into a cast and crew-wide prank on Benedict Cumberbatch (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey).They were shooting the film nearby a gigantic actual laser, and Pegg decided to warn his fellow actors about the harmful 'neutrons' and 'ions' in the air.
