Ahead of its premiere next month, CBS has released a preview trailer for Brian K. Vaughan's (Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina) upcoming 13-part TV adaptation of Stephen King's Under the Dome, which you can check out below.Based upon King's 2009 novel, Under the Dome centres on the residents of Chester's Mill, a small town in Maine, who find themselves cut off from the outside world by a mysterious and impenetrable barrier that appears overnight. As the town descends into chaos, a group of people attempt to maintain order whilst uncovering the truth behind their predicament.
The pilot episode of Under the Dome has been directed by Danish filmmaker Niels Arden Oplev (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), while the cast of the series includes Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), Mike Vogel (The Help), Rachelle Lafevre (Twilight), Natalie Martinez (Death Race), Jolene Purdy (Donnie Darko), Nicholas Strong (Nashville), Aisha Hinds (True Blood), Britt Robertson (The Secret Circle), Colin Ford (Jake and the Never Land Pirates) and newcomer Alex Koch.
Under the Dome is set to premiere on CBS in North America on June 24th, with details of a UK air date yet to be announced.
