Yesterday the North East of England saw its first major sci-fi convention as around 1000 people turned out for Screen-Con in North Shields. Among the special guests for the inaugural event were Sylvester McCoy (Doctor Who, The Hobbit) and Star Wars stars Alan Harris (Bossk), Laurie Goode (Saurin, Stormtrooper) and Britain's smallest man Michael Henbury (Ewok)- who also appeared in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as a Gringott's Goblin - along with Boba Fett himself Jeremy Bulloch, who really put in a shift signing autographs, posing for fans and chatting about his experiences as the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy. And of course, the cosplayers were also out in full force, including the Empire's finest, the 99th Garrison; check out a gallery here...
