Fifty years after his first appearance in the pages of Marvel Comics, the Armored Avenger got Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe off to a spectacular start last week, with Iron Man 3 enjoying a bumper opening weekend that saw it outperforming Joss Whedon's The Avengers at the international box office. The Shane Black-directed solo sequel opens in North America this coming Friday, but tonight Entertainment Weekly and Marvel Studios are giving a select number of American fans a sneak preview of the film, as well as offering one lucky attendee the chance to take home this rather splendid poster, which was created especially for the cast and crew of the threequel:

Meanwhile, a video has surfaced featuring 16 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage from Iron Man 3, which includes interviews with Shane Black, Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark / Iron Man), Ben Kingsley (The Mandarin), Don Cheadle (Rhodey / Iron Patriot) and Marvel legend Stan Lee; if you're yet to see the movie, you'll probably want to hold off for a few days before watching this one:
