Pacific Rim takes place in a near-future where giant creatures known as Kaiju have risen from the ocean, leading to a long and bloody war against humanity. To fight back against the Kaiju, a new weapon was created - giant robots called Jaegers - and now the fate of mankind has come to rest upon the shoulders of two unlikely heroes, Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) and Rinko Kikuchi (The Brothers Bloom), and their seemingly obsolete Jaeger. Also featuring in the cast are Idris Elba (Prometheus), Rinko Kikuchi (The Brothers Bloom), Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses), and Ron Perlman (Hellboy).
