Superman: UnboundFor many moviegoers John Noble was the demented Middle-earth royalty in The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (2003) while others will remember him more recently for portraying a mentally unstable scientist and father in the J.J. Abrams (Star Trek Into Darkness) created the television series Fringe (Fox, 2008 to 2013).   Unlike his previous efforts, the Australian actor is not seen but heard has the megalomaniac world destroyer Brainiac in Superman: Unbound.

To promote the next entry in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies, Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros.Animation have released three EPK interview clips featuring Noble discussing finding the voice of Brainiac, knowing when to exercise restraint with the character, and growing up listening to Superman on the radio.

The Man of Steel aptly handles day-to-day crime while helping acclimatize Supergirl to Earth’s customs and managing Lois Lane’s expectations for their relationship. Personal issues take a back seat when the horrific force responsible for the destruction of Krypton – Brainiac – begins his descent upon Earth. Brainiac has crossed the universe, collecting cities from interesting planets – including Supergirl’s home city of Kandor – and now the all-knowing, ever-improving android has his sights fixed on Metropolis. Superman must summon all of his physical and intellectual resources to protect his city, the love of his life and his newly-arrived cousin.

Superman: Unbound which is based on Geoff Johns/Gary Frank 2008 release Superman: Brainiac arrives May 7th, 2013 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment as a Blu-ray™ Combo Pack, DVD, On Demand and for Digital Download.
