It's certainly an exciting time for comic book movie fans at the moment, what with the recent Man of Steel trailer, today's Thor: The Dark World trailer and the impending release of Iron Man 3 (which we'll be reviewing in just a few short hours), and now 20th Century Fox has got in on the act with a new international trailer for The Wolverine, which sees Hugh Jackman heading to Japan for his sixth appearance as the X-Men's adamantium-clawed mutant Logan. Sadly, there's only a few snippets of footage in this latest preview, but seeing as it took an eternity for the official trailer to land, it could be a while before we get to see any more...The Wolverine (or Wolverine: Samurai, as it's now titled in Japan) is directed by James Mangold (Knight and Day) and is based upon the 1982 comic book miniseries by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller. Jackman is joined in the cast by newcomers Tao Okamoto and Rila Fukushima as Mariko Yashida and Yukio, with Will Yun Lee (Total Recall) as the Silver Samurai, Brian Tee (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift) as Noburo Mori, Hiroyuki Sanada (The Last Samurai) as Shingen, Hal Yamanouchi (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) as Yashida and Svetlana Khodchenkova (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) as Viper.
The Wolverine is due for release on July 26th.
