It seems that Benedict Cumberbatch's John Harrison has been watching the recent Man of Steelviral, for he's taken a leaf out of General Zod's book to issue a stark warning to Captain James Tiberius Kirk (Chris Pine) in the latest promotional video for next month's Star Trek Into Darkness...
"When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew."
Star Trek Into Darkness is directed by J.J. Abrams and sees Benedict Cumberbatch and Chris Pine joined in the cast by the returning Zoe Saldana (Uhura), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Karl Urban (Bones), Simon Pegg (Scotty), John Cho (Sulu), Anton Yelchin (Checkov) and Bruce Greenwood (Pike), while Trek newcomers include Alice Eve (Men in Black 3) as Dr. Carol Marcus and Peter Weller (RoboCop) as her father, Admiral Marcus. The sequel opens in the UK on May 9th ahead of a North American release on May 17th.
