The Nordic Film Club will host the UK premiere of a brand new feature length Wallander film, The Troubled Man, followed by a question and answer session with Kurt Wallander himself Krister Henriksson.
Following the death of a deep-sea diver, detective Kurt Wallander uncovers links to classified State Affairs, as slowly the case comes closer to home, involving members of Wallander’s extended family. Soon Wallander launches an unofficial investigation of his own to uncover espionage secrets that date back to the Cold War.
Set for a UK theatrical run later this year, the premiere of The Troubled Man will take place at London’s Leicester Square Theatre this coming Monday 22 April from 8:30PM.
Krister Henriksson was introduced to UK audiences when BBC Four previously aired Henriksson’s two season run. Whilst not the only actor to have played Wallander, Henriksson has become seen as the definitive incarnation of Henning Mankell’s angst-ridden detective.
The question and answer session will see Henriksson offer his thoughts on his television and stage career as well as his thoughts on playing this iconic character and the impact Wallander as had on his own career.
There are only limited tickets available. Head here for tickets and further info.
Henriksson is currently making his London West-End stage debut in “Doktor Glas”, which runs from April 16 – May 11 at Wyndham’s Theatre. For further information visit here.
