The first trailer for Thor: The Dark World is set to arrive online this coming Tuesday April 23rd ahead of the UK release of Iron Man 3 on April 25th, and to whet our appetites Marvel Studios has released the official poster for the superhero sequel, which sees Chris Hemsworth returning as the God of Thunder:
Thor: The Dark World is directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones), with Hemsworth joined in the cast by returning Thor stars Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Anthony Hopkins (Odin), Rene Russo (Frigga), Stellan Skarsgård (Erik Selvig), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Ray Stevenson, (Volstagg) Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Tadanobu Asano (Hogun) and Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis). Newcomers to the MCU include Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who) as Malekith the Accursed, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) as Algrim the Strong / Kurse, Zachary Levi (Chuck) as Fandral and Clive Russell (Game of Thrones) as Tyr.
