So what were the main nagging problems I observed? Well here are ten Season 5 - Episode 11 'To Thine Own Self' annoyances:
- The continued presence of bad language.
- The continued presence of violence.
- Ron Perlman unable to mimic John “Smallville” Schneider’s favourite word “Son.”
- Jax’s dislike of being called “Son”, despite a young Superman being perfectly okay with it.
- Danny Trejo seemed as if he would have been more interested if buddy Robert Rodriguez were on the other side of the camera. Seemed to be channelling a Rodriguez rather than a Sutter character.
- Tara’s hair was out of place; detracting from the natural beauty of Miss Siff.
- Uncer and Clay’s drug use.
- The opening shot overrunning by a second.
- No WWF style opening safety message to remind us that everything in the episode is performed by highly trained professionals, and we should not attempt to re-enact anything seen on screen.
- The negative depiction of the family.
