R.I.P.D. is based on the Dark Horse graphic novel of the same name by Peter M. Lenkov and sees comic book movie regular Ryan Reynolds (Blade: Trinity, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Green Lantern) headlining as recently slain cop Nick Walker, who joins a team of undead police officers - the Rest In Peace Department - and links up with gunslinger Roy Pulsipher (Jeff Bridges; Iron Man) in order to track down the main who murdered him and bring him to justice.
The film is directed by Robert Schwentke (RED), and features a supporting cast that includes Kevin Bacon (X-Men: First Class), Mary-Louise Parker (RED), Stephanie Szostak (Iron Man 3) and Robert Knepper (Prison Break).
