Not content with dropping the fantastic third trailer for his next directorial effort Man of Steel, filmmaker Zack Snyder has taken to Twitter to release the first poster for another of his upcoming projects, 300: Rise of an Empire, a prequel to his 2006 comic book adaptation 300, which is being produced by Snyder and directed by Noam Murro (Smart People); take a look:
300: Rise of an Empire stars Sullivan Stapleton (Animal Kingdom) as the Green general Themistocles, who will lead his men into a naval battle against the Persians in the Battle of Artemisium. Rodrigo Santoro (Xerxes) and Lena Headey (Queen Gorgo) both return to the cast, while Stapleton is joined by fellow newcomers Eva Green (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For) as Artemisia, Callan Mulvey (Zero Dark Thirty) as Scyllias and Jack O'Connell (Skins) as Calisto.
