Meanwhile comic book movie regular Ryan Reynolds (Blade: Trinity, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Green Lantern) is set to add another to his CV, taking on the lead role in Universal Pictures' R.I.P.D., and thanks to Entertainment Weekly we have the first official image, which sees Reynolds and Jeff Bridges (Iron Man) as deceased cops Nick Walker and Roy Pulsipher...

R.I.P.D. is based upon the Dark Horse comic book R.I.P.D. by Peter M. Lenkov and sees Robert Schwentke (RED) directing a cast that also includes Kevin Bacon (X-Men: First Class), Mary-Louise Parker (RED), Stephanie Szostak (Iron Man 3) and Robert Knepper (Prison Break). The film sees Reynolds' deceased cop joining a team of undead police offers - a.k.a. the Rest In Peace Department - in order to track down his killer. It is due for release on July 19th in North America and on August 30th in the UK.
