Following on from his 2010 effort Tomorrow, When the War Began, director Stuart Beattie is currently working on an adaptation of I, Frankenstein. If you haven't heard of the first film don't worry, as many haven't (it was a big success in Australia and New Zealand).
First up, here is the synopsis.
Lionsgate has announced that its release date of September 13th this year is being pushed back to January 24th 2014, and had this to say - "The film's franchise potential, given its large scale premise, setting and creative elements are perfectly aligned with the 3D experience and the studio wants to put forth the best version of the film possible to audiences."
So what are they trying to say? Is this a G.I. Joe: Retaliation situation, where they think they can make more money converting it to 3D? Doesn't sound promising, as very few action/adventure films generally get released in January Oscar prime time.
