Ahead of the premiere of Red Dwarf X next month, UK TV channel Dave has started counting down to the arrival of the latest series this weekend by broadcasting each series of the classic British sci-fi sitcom back-to-back. As part of the promotion, the advert breaks included a secret code ('MOOSE', if you're wondering) that unlocked a brand new clip from the upcoming series that features Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) and Rimmer (Chris Barrie) embarking on a weapons check. The new series of Red Dwarf has been written and directed by co-creator Doug Naylor, and is set to begin airing on Dave on Thursday, October 4th at 9pm. Having returned to the traditional live studio audience format of the earlier seasons, Red Dwarf X will look to banish the ghost of the gang's last outing, Red Dwarf: Back to Earth, and from what we've seen so far, things look pretty promising. Not Series I - VI promising, mind you, but hopefully it'll turn out to be an improvement over Naylor's previous solo efforts...
