A new three-issue dark adventure written and lettered by James O'Barr marks the return of the Spirit of Vengeance in The Crow: Curare.
When retired cop Joe Salk can’t shake a little girl’s unsolved murder, his life unravels. Alone in the shambles of his former life, his obsessions with justice and revenge his only propellants, the shadowy spirit of vengeance, and the young victim reach out to him.
“It was a great return to form for James O’Barr on the previous The Crow: Skinning the Wolves miniseries, and seeing him tackle a present-day tale feels even more vital,” said Chris Ryall, IDW’s Chief Creative Officer/Editor-in-Chief when discussing the latest effort by O'Barr which sees him collaborate with artist Antoine Dodé.
The Crow: Curare #1 arrives in June 2013 and will feature a painted wraparound cover as well as covers by Dodé along with additional ones by painter Miran Kim.
