Lionsgate Films has released the trailer and quad poster for the upcoming British thriller Hummingbird, which is the directorial debut of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things, Eastern Promises) and sees action veteran Jason Statham (The Expendables, Parker) leading a cast that includes BAFTA award winner Vicky McClure (This Is England) and Benedict Wong (Prometheus).
In Hummingbird Statham plays Joey Jones, an ex-special forces man living rough on the streets of London after going on the run from a military court marshal. When an opportunity to escape the murky criminal underworld presents itself, Joey assumes another man's identity and transforms himself into an avenging angel... meaning Statham cuts off his hair, dons a Transporter suit and gets down to his usual routine, by the looks of things.
