Multiple pictures have been popping up all over the web with former cast members of Boy Meets World on set for the new pilot. Along with Williams Daniels, Maitland Ward (who played Rachel), Will Friedle (who played Cory’s brother Eric), and Rider Strong (who played Cory’s best friend Shawn) all visited the set this week. So far only Daniels is set to appear in the pilot, and details are still under wraps so it's not certain whether he will cameo or enjoy a more prominent role.
After the first Girl Meets World announcement, Daniels had this to say in an open letter: “Boy Meets World was a defining aspect of my life, and I cherish those seven years. It was never just a job -- on a personal level, many of my best memories and friendships were formed because of it... So I am extremely happy for Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel to be able to continue the story. But Girl Meets World will be, and I think it should be, it's own show. It will be about Cory and Topanga, their daughter [Riley Matthews], and a new set of characters. It's the next generation. And I, for one, can't wait to see it evolve.”
