FX has bought a another script from Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter. This time instead of a hardcore drama Sutter has penned a comedy. Titled Diva. Clown. Killer., the script has been described by FX as "a dark, absurd comedy about an 80s has-been rock diva, her dysfunctional son who makes his living as kid’s party clown, and of course, an assassin.” Sutter's wife and star of Sons of Anarchy, Katey Sagal, will executive produce the show and may also star depending on her schedule. Sutter said in a statement: “I look at SOA as being an intense drama, where the murder and mayhem are made palatable by absurd, dark humor. This half-hour will be an absurd, dark comedy, where the story is fueled by murder and mayhem.” If FX orders more episodes, Sutter will hire someone else to be the showrunner so he can focus on Sons of Anarchy.
