As we wait with bated breath for the arrival of a new trailer tomorrow, Paramount Pictures has released to new images from the wildly-anticipated sci-fi sequel Star Trek Into Darkness, the first of which gives us a look at Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto), while the second features Benedict Cumberbatch's (Sherlock) mysterious villain John Harrison:

Star Trek Into Darkness is directed by J.J. Abrams, and sees Zoe Saldana (Avatar), Karl Urban (Dredd), Simon Pegg (A Fantastic Fear of Everything), Anton Yelchin (Fright Night), John Cho (Total Recall) and Bruce Greenwood (Flight) reprising their roles from the 2009 reboot, while Trek newcomers include Alice Eve (Men in Black 3), Noel Clarke (Doctor Who) and Peter Weller (RoboCop). The film opens in the UK on May 9th, ahead of a North American release on May 17th.
