Today marked the first official production day of Legendary's Godzilla reboot and already there are a few set photos from their Vancouver location.
Aside from the helicopter, there isn't a whole lot to see - but it is only the first day so we can expect to see more in the upcoming days and weeks.
Images started coming in from sources like Godzilla-Movie and Mechablogzilla of the military set-up and a destroyed helicopter - no doubt knocked about by the King of the Monsters.

Legendary's Facebook page also announced the official Godzilla 2014 Facebook page which also contained a video message from director Gareth Edwards (Monsters) taken after the first shot:
Given the amount we've seen so far, we suspect that we'll be seeing a lot of video blogs from Mr. Edwards as the production rolls on.
Godzilla features Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass 2), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Elizabeth Olson (Martha Marcy May Marlene), Juliette Binoche (The English Patient), David Strathairn (Lincoln) and Ken Watanabe (Inception). It has been written by Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption), Max Borenstein (The Seventh Son) and Dave Callaham (The Expendables 2).
The film set for release on May 16th, 2014.
