New trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness

Before J.J. Abrams heads to a galaxy far, far away for Disney's Star Wars: Episode VII, the director will take Star Trek into darkness with the arrival of the hotly-anticipated sequel to his 2009 reboot. To further build excitement for the sci-fi spectacular, Paramount Pictures has released a new theatrical trailer alongside Oz the Great and Powerful, and you can check it out right here.

Star Trek Into Darkness sees Abrams' reunited with Star Trek stars Chris Pine (Kirk), Zoe Saldana (Uhura), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Karl Urban (Bones), Simon Pegg (Scotty), John Cho (Sulu), Anton Yelchin (Checkov) and Bruce Greenwood as the crew of the USS Enterprise faces their most dangerous threat yet in Benedict Cumberbatch's (Sherlock) "one man weapon of mass-destruction" Khan Noonien SinghGary MitchellArik SoongTolian SoranRobert April John Harrsion.

Also featuring in the cast of Star Trek Into Darkness is Alice Eve (Men in Black 3) as Dr. Carol Marcus, while other Trek newcomers include Peter Weller (RoboCop), Nazneen Contractor (24), Noel Clarke (Doctor Who) and Nolan North (Young Justice).


Star Trek Into Darkness is scheduled for release on May 9th in the UK and on May 17th in North America.
