Skyfall screenwriter John Logan briefly talks Bond 24

Speaking to The Financial Times about his upcoming play Peter and Alice, John Logan (Gladiator, The Aviator) - one of the writers on Skyfall and currently penning Bond 24 and Bond 25 - has talked a little about what we can expect from the follow up to one of the most personal Bond films in the character's 50 year history.

“[Ian] Fleming’s courage in showing Bond’s fear and vulnerability and depression was really interesting and something that a modern audience can accept,” said Logan. “I think Skyfall demonstrated that they want more layers to that character. And those are the layers that Fleming wrote.”

Due late 2014, Bond 24 is currently director-less now that Sam Mendes has confirmed he will not be returning, however it is good to hear that the series will continue along the more serious path exploring Bond as a man. Daniel Craig has been rather blessed in his tenure, with each of his films exploring Bond's psyche in some form or another, and Casino Royale for me is just as personal as Skyfall.

Now that Skyfall has brought back our favourite members of the franchise and stuck a male M behind a leather door, will we see the return of Blofeld? Or will we see the return of Quantum, who were an integral part of Craig's first two outings before being completed omitted from Skyfall? What would you like to see for Bond 24...
