Based upon William Joyce's children's book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs, Epic sees a teenage girl (voiced by Amanda Seyfried; Les Miserables) transported deep into a forest, where a battle rages between the forces of good and evil. Also featuring in the voice cast are Colin Farrell (Total Recall), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained), Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses), Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation), Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids) and music stars Beyoncé Knowles, Pitbull and Steven Tyler.
"EPIC tells the story of an ongoing battle deep in the forest between the forces of good who keep the natural world alive and the forces of evil who wish to destroy it. When a teen age girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe, she must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters in order to save their world…and ours."
Epic is set for release on May 22nd in the UK and May 24th in North America.
