As the James Bond movie franchise reaches its 50th anniversary this year with the release of Skyfall, the London Film Memorabilia Convention is celebrating the quintessential Bond film on Saturday, September 22nd with Goldfinger Day, reuniting key members of the cast and crew of the 1964 classic for a number of special talks and retrospectives, as well as assembling one of the world's largest collections of Bond film memorabilia.
Along with a free screening of the newly remastered and restored The Edgar Wallace Mysteries featuring an early Sean Connery performance, Goldfinger Day includes special guests Sir Ken Adam, Honor Blackman, Shirley Eaton, Tania Mallett, Margaret Nolan, Caron Gardner, Bert Kwouk and Norman Wanstall, as well as the following talks:
• A special Sir Ken Adam retrospective with Sir Christopher Frayling
• An Honor Blackman retrospective show
• The Golden Girls Reflections Talk - Shirley Eaton, Tania Mallett, Margaret Nolan and Caron Gardner talk about their memories of making Goldfinger and working with Sir Sean Connery and director Guy Hamilton.
• Oscar winning sound editor Norman Wanstall will talk about Bond behind the scenes and his work with the directors Terence Young, Guy Hamilton and editor Peter Hunt, as well as demonstrating how picture and sound editing was done on the early Bond films with the Moviola.
