News Flash: The Human Torch has been denied a bank loan...
...and Harrison Ford (Star Wars, Indiana Jones) has signed on for the new Anchorman film.
Ford is fresh from the newsroom himself, playing an anchorman in the 2010 comedy Morning Glory. His character in Anchorman 2 is said to be a legendary newscaster in the mould of Tom Brokaw (for British readers, maybe think Trevor McDonald).
Anchorman 2 will begin shooting this month in Atlanta, and also stars the original's Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and David Koechner, as well as other new additions Kristen Wiig, James Marsden and perhaps the recently-rumoured John C. Reilly.
Will Ferrell and Adam McKay have written the screenplay, with the latter once again taking up directing duties, while Judd Apatow is producing. The film is scheduled for a 20th December release later this year in both the US and UK.
So until then, yougo **** yourselves stay classy, San Diego.
