After feeding fans scraps for the past few months, HBO has now firmly kicked up the marketing campaign for Game of Thrones season 3. Late last month we finally saw the first trailer for the return of the epic fantasy series, while yesterday broughttwelve character posters, featuring a selection of returning favourites. Now, an extended version of the trailer has arrived online, which offers up a few extra snippets of footage, including a longer look at Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) flying dragon.
"Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lust and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all will play the Game of Thrones."
Game of Thrones season 3 premieres on HBO on March 31st in North America and Sky Atlantic on April 1st in the UK.
