After dominating the multiplexes earlier this year, Earth's Mightiest Heroes are getting set to assemble on Blu-ray and DVD next month and to help build anticipation for the home-entertainment release (like it's needed), Disney and Marvel Studios have released a brand new deleted scene from The Avengers, which has made its way online courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.
The deleted scene features more interaction between Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner and Harry Dean Stanton's security guard, who discovers Banner in a pile of rubble after the Hulk leaps from the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier. While it's understandable why the scene ended up on the cutting room floor, it does give us a little more insight into Banner's inner turmoil... not to mention a whole extra minute of Harry Dean Stanton.
Meanwhile, here's an extended scene between Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston):
And lastly, a four minute gag reel:
Marvel's The Avengers is released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on September 17th and hits North American shelves on September 25th.
